Eircom Appoints Greenwoods
Communications as a Supplier of Telecoms Equipment -

| Greenwoods Communications
has been appointed as a supplier of telecoms equipment
by Irish telecoms incumbent, Eircom. The contract covers
the supply of various telecoms consumables for Eircom's
network. The move follows Eircom's decision to revise
its previous supplier arrangements, with Greenwoods winning
a competitive tender. |

Eircom's move to consolidate its purchasing process
enables it to take advantage of reduced costs, increased economies
of scale and a more responsive service. Eircom is also able to make
the most of Greenwoods' recently launched e-procurement system, allowing
it to identify and select products on-line.
"We wanted to
reduce our costs - moving to Greenwoods provided impressive savings"
said Brian McCann, Head of Network Services Procurement, at Eircom.
"Greenwoods Communications has a wide range of products at competitive
prices, so the choice to use them was a simple one."

Greenwoods Communications
