Greenwoods displays
next generation cabling solutions at CeBIT 2001 - 17th

| Leading network solutions
provider Greenwoods Communications will be displaying
its two slimline telecoms cables at CeBIT 2001 to demonstrate
how operators can effectively deal with the growing lack
of physical network infrastructure space. |

The RA7000 and new RA8000 connector and cable solutions
from Greenwoods have been specifically designed to save operators
costs and maximise efficiency as demand for next generation services
puts space for cabling at a premium. The cables have been designed
to meet or exceed the performance characteristics of BT2003 and BT3002
respectively but with the advantage that they are greatly reduced
in size. Other key benefits of both are that they come in multi-bundle
configurations of up to 16-way (RA7000) or 32-way bundles (RA8000)
and have low smoke zero halogen (LSOH) sheaths which offer enhanced
safety and equipment protection in the event of a fire. Visitors to
Greenwoods stand will be able to see how the cables can be used to
fully populate digital distribution frames, including Greenwoods'
HDC43 Interconnect System.
John Greenwood, managing director of Greenwoods Communications said,
"We have already supplied the RA7000 to a number of leading network
operators, such as Cable & Wireless, Colt, Level 3, MCI Worldcom and
ntl, which is testament to the efficiencies that can be gained from
this simple solution."
In addition to telecoms cabling solutions, Greenwoods will be displaying
a range of structured cabling products at CeBIT. In 2000 Greenwoods
became one of a select number of UK distributors who stock the PremisNET™
portfolio from KRONE. A complete range of KRONE's category 5e products
will be on display, alongside cabinets specifically designed to house
LAN equipment from APW Electronics.
