New Service Launched
For Obsolete Stock Disposal
| |
|
 |
| Greenwoods Communications
has recently introduced a new obsolete equipment centre
to assist their customers in the management and disposal
of their excess and obsolete inventory. |
 |
|
|
|
This
centre has been created to generate revenue from customers' obsolete
equipment and is being managed by recent recruit Geof Groom who has
joined Greenwoods from one of the UK's largest fixed line operators.
Geof will be seeking out suitable buyers to re-use the equipment and
generate revenue from obsolete stock.
Where sale or re-use is not possible, equipment will be broken down
into revenue earning waste streams. Much of this will be recycled,
reducing the volume of waste being sent to landfill and thereby complying
with the latest Government and Environmental policies and initiatives.
The
service is provided on a 'gain share' basis and at no cost to the
customer. Revenue earned is passed back to the customer minus a percentage
handling fee to cover expenses incurred for providing the service.
This system allows full visibility of equipment sold and revenues
earned and enables customers to eliminate expensive storage and handling
costs for their unwanted inventory. Geof commented: "We
see this as an opportunity to provide a service to our customers and
to build long term relationships with them. With most companies in
the telecoms sector looking to rapidly cut costs Greenwoods is able
to offer a number of services which aim to reduce operational overheads,
management of surplus stock being the latest. The majority of companies
are going through the surplus/obsolete equipment phase as markets
and technology are changing so quickly. Greenwoods wants to help in
the difficult times as well as the good times, hence the introduction
of this new facility". |
