Workshop Supervisor
Duties
include:
 |
To ensure that the workshop manufacturing processes are carried out in accordance with the departments goals, objectives and procedures, and in accordance with company policy. |
 |
To monitor and influence the performance of the team such that staff are motivated, and operate effectively as individuals and as a team. Staff includes those directly employed, sub contracted or seconded, working within the manufacturing processes under the supervisors area of responsibility. |
Desirable Competencies/Skills required:
 |
Good people skills, effective communicator and influencer, readily gains credibility and support of others. |
 |
Proven track record in practical experience of telecom products and installation techniques within the telecommunications industry. |
 |
Understanding of quality management principles and techniques and e.g. 6Sigma/ TQM. |
 |
Ability to work within a team as well as under minimum supervision. |
 |
Be a self-starter, possess strong problem solving skills and be able to resolve production failure and conflict. |
 |
Have the ability to support, motivate and coach workshop staff. |
 |
Understands Health and Safety legislation applicable to workshop activities. |
 |
PC Literate. |
 |
Previous supervisory experience would be an advantage. |
