John
Greenwood, Managing Director 
John
Greenwood is the founder and owner of Greenwoods Communications and
the Greenwoods Group. Since
first supplying the industry in 1987, John has evolved with the market
and has always believed in the philosophy of turnkey services. His
vision meant that the company was already providing cost effective
outsourcing services before it became prominent when the market collapsed
in 2001.
John is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Greenwoods
Communications. The company was formed in 1989 to target the telecoms
market just before the industry witnessed rapid growth as a result
of deregulation. Prior to this John managed Greenwoods
Engineers Megastore, a specialised tool merchant in Birmingham
that is still going strong today.
John has remained one step ahead at all times, by listening to customers
and in his understanding of the market. He has had the foresight and
creativity to continually add services to the company's portfolio
that assist customers meet their short and long-term business objectives.

Peter
Skinner, Commercial Director
Peter
Skinner rejoined Greenwoods in July 2004 as Commercial Director, having
previously held the position of General Manager when the "Communications
Division" was in its infancy. With many years of experience in
the telecoms industry, Peter offers a unique blend of expertise, having
held management positions in sales and marketing as well as run manufacturing
and engineering operations. Peter is directly accountable for implementing
a greater level of customer service and order management to ensure
maximum efficiency of our back office sales support function, thus
ensuring we exceed customer expectations. Peter is also responsible
for the purchasing and materials management functions and owns the
commercial relationship with our distribution partners. |
Dean
Ackrill FCCA , Finance Director 
Dean
Ackrill joined Greenwoods in September 2000. He was formerly an Audit
Manager at Eden Currie accountancy practice. Dean has worked in accountancy
since 1987 and has previously worked as a consultant in areas such
as management accounts, financial audits and tax. He is responsible
for all finances of the Greenwoods Group. |
Ian
Carr, Group Business Systems Director
Ian
joined Greenwoods in April 2005 bringing with him a wealth of knowledge,
skill and experience gained through various senior management roles
in Project and Operations Management at Cable & Wireless. Having
previously been Cable & Wireless’ Director of External Networks.
Ian’s remit is group wide and is split into two areas, firstly
he is responsible for maximising the efficiency of the back office,
the second key area is to raise the standard and profile of both Quality
Assurance and Health and Safety. This is primarily working in conjunction
with the Operations Director and Field force Management. |
Frank Hodder, Business
Development Director
Frank Hodder joined Greenwoods from outsource
company Tyco Sabre in 2000, after more than 20 years with Cable and
Wireless in a wide variety of roles. Frank joined Greenwoods in the
capacity of New Business Development Manager, taking responsibility
for increasing the sales portfolio. Since joining the company Frank
has been promoted and now operates as New Business Director and not
only has responsibility for increasing the sales portfolio he also
has a strategic account management role for companies such as Alcatel,
Orange and Cable and Wireless. |
Ken Whiteley, Strategic
Customer Director (non Board)
Ken joined Greenwoods from BT in October 2001,
bringing with him over 39 years of experience in the telecoms industry.
Ken’s remit when he joined Greenwoods was to develop relationships
with strategic customers in the role of Strategic Account Manager.
Ken has since been promoted and now operates as a non board Director
in the role of Strategic Customer Director. This role encompasses
a wide variety of responsibilities, including developing relationships
with OEMs, network providers, and developing strategy for rail and
road enterprises. |
Carl Moorhouse,
Operations Director
Carl
joined Greenwoods in Jan 2008 bringing with him a wealth of knowledge,
skill and experience gained through various senior management roles
in Operations, Project Management and Service Delivery at T-Mobile,
3UK and more recently as Head of Radio Access Networks Operations
at Ericsson Services Ltd. Carl has 28 years worth of experience in
the telecommunications industry, having started his career in 1980
at BT as an Aerial Rigger based at the BT Tower, London. Carl is responsible
for driving continuous improvement in the area of Field Operations,
Technical Support, Service Delivery, Service Solutions and 3rd party
contract management, with the goal of facilitating high levels of
customer satisfaction. In his spare time Carl enjoys his role as player/manager
for a men's football team in South West Herts league, participating
in 10k running events and supporting West Ham Utd FC. |
