The
mitigation of climate change is a global challenge. At
Greenwoods we recognise that our operations, products
and services have an impact on climate change and we aim
to minimize this. We have already made a commitment with
our initial success of gaining ISO 14001, an internationally
recognised standard for environmental management. As our
business expands into new markets, we will manage any
rise in carbon emissions.
We are building on our early successes and developing
further climate strategies and carbon intensity targets
in order to establish a more disciplined process and structure
inside the company to manage our sustainability initiatives.
Our sustainability policy will deliver a comprehensive
plan to increase energy efficiency and reduce our environmental
impact by developing continuous monitoring, reporting
and communication of our sustainability performance.
This process involves the communication and training of
our staff in support of continuous improvement and the
achievement of robust and meaningful reductions.
It is important our sustainability policy transcends our
entire supply chain. This action allows us to be transparent
to our customers by knowing the companies that supply
us, with our goods and services, are operating according
to the same environmental standards.
